Hello,I was wondering if anyone could help me to distribute a POLYLINE and/or MLINE inside of a POLYLINE area.I design underfloor heating systems. The problem is drawing the loops. I would like a quicker more automated way. What i am looking to achieve is to use an area, lets say a square 10m x 10m. and distribute two parallel polylines that are 250mm apart, when it reaches the other side of the area it turns a corner and comes back until its filled the area, sort of like a dynamic hatch! dynamic hatch thats what im looking for! Here is an example of underfloor heating loops I hope that makes sense!??I am using autocad 2006/07/08/09 on various computers. Thanks for a great forum!Ben

Easy way is draw the line, use the array and then join it all by command PLJOIN form AutoCAd Express Tools.

Thanks for the reply Pepar,Thing is; when you have to draw 60 flats, each with 10 loops. your index finger starts to hurt! As with all of the ways that I know how to do it, they all require a fair amount of elbow grease. Or you just settle for a polyline with a boring hatch! it would be nice for the polyline to be dymanic and exact as I would like to know the length of the loop.I'm starting to think I may need to pay someone to code something for me??I think this would be very useful and worthy command... You can give it as task for some programmers - Xanadu offers this service.
By the way, you can use some software by traders with heat loops eg.: RAUCAD (TechCON).
