13 Views no respones?

I thought I would elaborate a bit.

If I draw the first line then the second i can fillet them.

If however I draw the first line then change the zoom and draw the second line the wont fillet.

Is it possible that there is a setting that is causing the lines to be drawn at different levels on the Z axis?

If so is this affected by zoom?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Conor

13 Views is nothing, but the elaboration helped, thank you. When you try to fillet the two lines, what message are you getting? It would be something like "The Radius is too large.", or "Lines are non coplanar."The latter message is what you would get if the lines were on two different Z elevations.Try [CMD]LIST[/CMD]ing both lines to verify they are both at the same elevation.

Yes I get the latter message.

Does that mean as I zoom im am changing the level on the Z axis?

I only draw in 2D. So how do I stop the Z axis from changing and set all existing lines to the same Z.

Zoom does not change the elevation of any object. When you draw, there are only a couple ways that I know of to place an object on an elevation other than 0.1. By manually entering the coordinates (X,Y,Z)[CODE]Command: LLINE Specify first point: 0,0,0Specify next point or [Undo]: @5,5,5Specify next point or [Undo]:[/CODE]2. By picking the grip of an object that is already on an elevation other than 0.If you go into the properties ([CMD]CHPROP[/CMD]) of the objects you want to fillet, you can edit their Z-Axis elevations from there. You can also [CMD]LIST[/CMD] the items to see what their Z-Axis elevation is.
