Hi.  New to this forum and hopefully I can get some help with what I'm doing.  I have a pre-made map that I'm working with, editing things here and there as needed.  Right now I'm trying to figure out how to highlight regions without covering anything up.

So basically I need help with how to make the region, fill it with a color, but not cover anything within the region.  I have been successful with making a region and filling it, but it covers everything else and I don't want that.

Well a little help would be much appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

You can make semi-transparent filled regions. Assign them a unique color or plot style and in the plot style editor set its screening to e.g. 50%. When you plot these regions (with the Line merge setting on) they will come out semi-transparent.

Okay.  How do you turn the line merge setting on?  I looked all over for it and could not find it.

It is in the printer settings - the the PLOT dialog, click on the printer Properties button and on the "Device and document settings" tab unfold the Graphics tree node.
