Display full version of the post: hidden dialog box

trying to attach a xref but the dialog box is hidden, when I try to do anything it gives me an error beep.

Did you try shutting down then restarting AutoCAD?

no, pressed enter twice and got the xref into the drawing butcould not see the dialog box to adjust the scale and insertion points

Are any other dialog boxes not showing up as well?

so far no.I know there is a command that allows you to hide thing behind the drawing screen but cant remember exactly what. ctrl+alt+?????? click drag screen to show whats behind

I'm not familiar with that command. If I thought I had something hidden behind my screen I'd minimize it and take a look.

Hi,Perhaps try opening the CUI editor, then with your current workspace selected in the left pane, click on the + next to Palettes in the right pane. Then select the External References palette, and make sure it is set to show, also set any other properties that are relevant. Perhaps that will allow it to appear.
