Maybe try the REVSURF command. It will create a cylinder mesh rather than a solid.

But I thought you wanted a cylinder that's a mesh instead of a solid?What do you mean by hollow cylinder? Are you trying to create a tube?Can you be more specific about what you're trying to create?

hi,I want to create pipe and export it in STL (ASCII) format. I want to import this in LIGGGHTS ( simulation software for granular research). I need that cylinder in triangulates so that pressure data can be written on it. Did you understand my problem?Thanks for help..Ram
