Display full version of the post: How do I remove the parentes around the tolerance?
Hi all, I'm new to this forum and if this problem is already solved in another thread I'm sorry, but I couldn't find it.
I need help with removing the parentes that is around the tolerance for holes and shafts. Is there any way to do this or am I forever banned to have those on my drawings ?
Thank you in advance.
Johan.

How are you specifying your tolerances?
By double clicking the dimension and selecting the "Limits/Fits - Show tolerance" as Tolerance Method.
I hope this helps.

You probably want to use the Deviation method to show your Tolerances. You can set this in the Styles Editor.
Thank you for your replies.
But if I use Deviation I will have to type in all the tolerances manually.
With Limits/Fits - Show Tolerance I can just select the tolerance I want (i.e. H11 for a hole) and the limits is set automatically. I just think that the brackets around the tolerance stands out way to much on the drawings so I was hoping that there was a way to remove them or atleast change the font so that they aren't so visible.

I played around with it for a bit yesterday, and as far as I can see there isn't a way to remove them. I could see how Deviation could be a pain, since you would have to do it manually. I guess it comes down to whether you want it to look more aesthetically pleasing, or do more work. Sorry I couldn't offer more help!
Thanks for trying.
Atleast it didn't end up with me looking ridiculously stupid
