That stamp is there for a reason. Seems some people get a hold of the educational version of AutoCAD and use it in a commercial business (i.e. - making money). This is a violation of the EULA.I hope that is not the case here.Try the DXFOUT to r12 release trick.

Legally you cannot remove the stamp. It's there because the drawing was created using an educational version of the software. And (as John noted) it is a violation of the terms of usage to do so. It would also be unethical for anyone here to give you a solution or point you to a "hack'.If you are going to use AutoCAD in a business or for profit in any way you need to purchase a licensed copy. With that you will have unrestricted use.Unauthorized usage drives up the cost of software for everyone.Dave.
Maybe you can try X-ref that file (with stamp) to new file..And then you should bind that x-ref file..and then you explode that block file..And then Save as that file..You can try again with that file..i am sorry if my english is bad..tanks
I had the same problem while working on drawings made by an Architect. He was also using an educational version. I saved the drawing as .dxf and then again converted the .dxf into .dwg format. The STAMP was gone.
I used a workaround of sorts once. If you plot your drawings to pdf format, you can use Adobe Acrobat to cover up the educational stamp. I did that once while using an educational license at the license-holding institution, for in-house presentation without the stamp. I don't believe generating digital or hardcopy plots and sidestepping the educational stamp in those circumstances violated the EULA. If the plots left the institution - then your'e getting into a grey area...Joe Carter

ok, so after using an old 2008 version, then on to a educational version of 2013 for a bit, I am now trying to install a regular 2013 version but having the stamp still show up. I did my best to delete all of the files accociated with the EDU software, and then install the new software but the stamp keeps coming back. totally different serial # and product key used of course. Any thoughts?
Thank you

Your safest best is to completely remove everything Autodesk from your computer and start over. Follow the instructions >Here< to the letter.

Are you viewing/using drawings you created using the educational version?

... which is a great point, because if you are it may be that even a full removal and reinstallation of the program may still show the ED stamp on the drawings.

No, I have removed all drawings that were made using the educational version. I have just removed all autodesk programs and I'm about to try to reinstall the 2013 regular program. Fingeres crossed.
Thank you for your help so far...

I think there is no need to reinstall the CAD applications - if you are using commercial versions, the EDU stamp will never appear unless you open (or insert) a DWG file created in an EDU version (and in this case AutoCAD warns you twice if you really want to do this).

I just reloaded the program and when I open up to begin a brand new drawing, I am prompted/reminded that..."The drawing file being opened was not created by a product from an Autodesk Education Suite"
"If you save this drawing, it will always be plotted with the stamp. it is recommended that you save the drawing with a different file name"
Not much luck here

To really clean things out you must follow the procedure posted on the AutoDesk website for setting your system up for a clean install. It's not just a matter of uninstall/reinstall.

Finished up the complete clear out of the old program then a new reinstall. Still the stamp returned. But then I opened the registration info page and typed in random/ incorrect numbers on purpose and submitted. Once it kicked back with wrong serial # and product key I resubmitted with the correct info and everything loaded up.
All is well, thank you for your help!

Strange that it worked but you did get the desired results so I guess "all's well that ends well."

I think it's worth noting that in many cases people are trying to get rid of the educational stamp after someone else's unautherized AutoCAD use, not their own.I came across this discussion because I work for an architecture firm with full (legal) access to AutoCAD 2013. Starting on a new project for a client, we tracked down some CAD drawings from the building owner for 4 floors, one of which was previously a different tenant than the other 3 and the CAD file for this floor has the educational stamp on them from some other architect on some project in the past.I understand and agree with your ethical stance on hacking unauthorized use of AutoCAD, but there are circumstances that arise where a legitimate professional is put in this position and needs a solution that doesn't involve manually re-creating the entire drawing.BL

You can now remove EDU stamps in AutoCAD 2015 - just by re-saving the DWG file. See the related tip 9757.
