Hi,

If I want to create a template with title block across the bottom or down the side,do I do it in model or paper space.

Any tips much appreciated....Mark

Title blocks are usually done in paperspace (in layouts) - they are related to the output plot, not to the drawing contents (model).

As Vladimir stated, Title Blocks should be in paperspace, but to create a template, I prefer to create my Title Block in Model Space, save the title block as (say) "TitleBlockA1.dwg", then open a new DWG and XREF TitleBlockA1 into one of the Paperspace Tabs. From there you can save the file with the XREF as a DWT and whenever you create a new DWG, you can start with that DWT.This method gives me full control over modifying the Title Block for past and present DWGs. AND it allows me to insert multiple sheets per DWG - a very handy feature for anyone who uses more than one sheet per DWG.Good Luck!!
