Well I just started taking on Inventor 2010, a switch from Alias Studio. Anyway I can't figure out how to project a series of holes onto a rounded solid. I need to do this so that I can cut the holes out. The circles are on a 2D sketch.
Here's a pic of what I mean:

any help is appreciated

Hello dbrown9141,
Could you look at making the holes in two operations? Not sure if the hole locations are critical in the model but first try making a set (1 row) of holes along the line where the flat meets the curve. (or a plane tangent to the curve) Then use the circular array to make the holes around the curve using the curves center axis as the rotation axis. Step two would be to go back and add the holes that are on the flat as you have shown.

Will the "Wrap to Face" option work?
