hi there im hopeful you can help me. we currently run mapinfo and I would like to import all of the data (visual mainly) into AutoCAD 2016. the information in mapinfo is on several layers covering the adopted road network, street lights and cables, sewer lines etc. im trying to get every thing in one place and having the information that mapinfo has on the main template in AutoCAD would make things a lot better. hopefully you can help. if I have missed anything or more info is needed please let me know. many thanks in advanceRussell

To my knowledge AutoCAD does not allow for the importing of data of the .mif file type. What other file formats can MapInfo either save to or export to?  That's what you need to look at.Example: Can you export to a .DXF file format?

after having a look I can export and save as an dxf but only layer by layer which has been losing info as I pull them across?

maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all then.  Better find a different solution or stick with doing everything in MapInfo.
