Hello, new to the forum seems like this would be a good place to network and absorb knowledge from the more experience CAD operators.  I do need some advise right off the top, I’m 40 years old and currently pursuing a career change into this field.  A broad scope of my work experience covers four years military service, eight years as Electronic Technician four of those in the Navy.  The last five years I have been in sales from Insurance to Medical supplies.  Along the way have acquired two associate degrees one in Drafting 1991 and the other in Industrial Electronics 1998.  After I decided that I wanted to make a change, with no work experience and 18 years removed from my degree I am taking a second level AutoCAD course at a Community College as a refresher to help prepare me for this career step.  I do have a couple of job opportunities but my challenge is rewriting my resume.  It’s hard to come up with transferable skills from my work experience especially from sales.  I’m just looking for some advice or ideas on how I could use all this non related experience to my advantage?
