I am having a problem with my keyboard keys working in my drawing files.
I can type what ever commands I need in the command box, but when I want to add text etc I get seqencial numbering. 123...890 and then 123..890. I'm on auto cadd 2006 land desktop. how can I fix this?

Are you saying that instead of letters you are getting numerals? What language pack are you using? What font style are you using?

YES, WHEN I use mtext or text command and type in words it appears and numbers 1-0.... 1,2, ... 8,9,0,1. If I use the properties box I type in text and it is okay, same as in mtext and go to symbols and options.

What is the source of the drawing? Is this the only drawing exhibiting this type of behavior? How much AutoCAD experience do you have? Can you provide either or both of the following:1) Screenshot of the STYLE dialog box.2) Copy of the actual dwg file?

The problem happens with all drawings.
I've been working with Auto Cadd since R10
If you are talking about the auto cadd program as the source it is land desktop 2006

I can't remember how to do a photo shoot of the style dialogue box. The box won't help you.

I can't get the file to down load.

have you got any suggestions about the problem?

I assume this happens only in Autocad? Not in any other programs?Have you encountered any viruses on your machine lately?Maybe it's time for a Repair or a complete Uninstall/Reinstall?

I don't know if this virus will cause the problem you are encountering, but it wouldn't hurt to check: http://autodesk.blogs.com/between_the_lines/2009/08/malicious-code-alert-acadvlx-and-solution.html
