I have a question related to the above; we are currently experiencing the disappearance of the icons on the Layer manager dialogue box.  Has anyone experienced and found the solution to this problem?

Can your question be more descriptive? Which version of Auto Cad are you using please?I presume you mean that the columns are missing in the layer manager dialog box

I presume you are working with 2008 or 2009 version. In case my doubts are true, open layer manager dialog boxmove the mouse pointer to the header row above the list of layersright click the mouse select 'Restore all columns to default'Hope this has helped you.

Thanks for your reply,
We are using AutoCAD 2009
We are experiencing the loss of icons at the top of the Layer Manager Tool bar. The columns can be viewed. If you run your mouse over the top of them the depressed button outline appears but no icon. Whilst the manager is still operational, it is an annoying occurrence.
Any help would be appreciated.

that seems more like a memory problem or less than necessary, try testing your memory with a dos memory test software.
those problems may appear if the computer doesn't comply with the requeriments.

Should this not be adequate?

Your thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

This problem also occurs on a Toshiba High end laptop.

try to see if you have the latest driver installed and make a repair of your autocad...

Go to Control Panel>Programs and features>AutoCAD 200x>
Change/Remove click on change and use Repair Option.

you can try to see the CUI "customize user interface"(command: _CUI ) and try to change the size of the icons but i dont know if it will solve that problem....
i'll try to see other solutions .
