Does anyone know of a stencil font made of single lines - such as might be cut out with a 2mm routing bit.   I want a simple font and only those characters with "islands" need to be in stencil format.   My Autocad Lite is old - '97 so need them in shx format.

Hello vector42, this may be good for you :I have "drawn" in lines only SIMPLEX text style to draw 3D letters, numbers, etc...See the file : ABCD.dwg in the CAD/BIM Library here in the site.As it's in AutoCAD 2010, eventually ask for a "save as" towards... And also :

Thanks for that.   OK, I have the text exploded and I will work on it some more.

Hello again Vector42, did you use my file or/and the old topic of Nate143 ?

I couldn't use the file because my Autocad Lite is '97 and won't accept the newer format.   I did use Nate143's procedure for exploding text and am currently working on that.   I was hoping that someone would know of a stencil font that was made with simple line characters that could be cut with a small router bit rather than the ones that are intended for making stencils.   I simply want to cut lettering right through in plastic sheet and don't want the centres of the "O" and "A" etc to fall out.Does your file just use simple lines ?   And could you upload a version in '97 or perhaps a DXF please.Cheers,Chris
