I need help in solving the problem for drawings that have been created with lines that are not coplanar.

How do you make all lines coplanar in the 'Z' axis?

Hey Armando,
You can select all the lines, then go into the properties palette and change the z-values to 0.
Hope that helps,
nameci

Hi Nameci,
What you suggested seems logical, but it doesn't seem to allow me to change any line values in the properties chart. All data seems frozen.
Is there a way to unlock the information in the prop menu?

I can't change the line values in the properties chart.
All data seems locked in the properties value chart.

make sure when you select the lines that your only trying to change the "Start 'Z' and End 'Z' Values. If that does not work use the PE command (PEDIT) and convert all the lines to Polylines and change the elevation that way.

Hi Nameci,
Thanks for your assistance.
It appeaars that the file is staring to respond to the properties pallete reconfiguration for the Z coordinates imput. This is very good.
Unfortunately I had exploded the entire drawing in hopes of being able to move the coordinates easier. Now I must recover the changes or restructure them.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Thanks again.
Armando

Hi Namici,
I was able to fix the coplanar issue with th elinewoks in my drawing.
Thanks for your clear suggestions.

However, I am having a problem with paper space setup.
I cannot select, delete or expand the outline of defpoint lines in the viewport. How can I fix this problem.
I am also having a problem creating PDF files of the drawing.

I have installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard in my computer and the program works fine with all other applications except in ACAD.
I use ACAD 2006.

How can I solve this issues? I am working on a design problem that is due in a month and can't print or create the files needed to submit to my client.

Any suggestions would be truly appreciated.
Thanks,
Armando

ArmandoAre you saying that if you select a viewport in Layout space, change to Model space and then try to pan or zoom --> scale that you cannot do this?As for PDF, I would install CutePDF, this is a printer driver which will allow you to create a PDF file, by plotting it and selecting CutePDF..
