Hi,I need to make offsets on parts to have enough material that then needs to be milled for the right surface finish. I am trying to find the best solution to do that. I have tried many softwares, NX, Inventor, PowerShape, Fusion360. Options like offset surface/face, don't function very well in small regions, where offset planes intersect eachother. The same happens when offsetting a triangle mesh, fixing those problems after takes a lot of time. Is there a better method or software that does that faster? What other options I have for making such offsets? Thank you in advance :)

Hello luki201098, eventually ( if you have AutoCAD ) explore the AutoCAD commands listed in those 2 CAD tips :Number 12064 : 3D offset of a surfaceNumber 11252 : Applying STRETCH to 3D objects in AutoCADThe better would be to re work the solid on its original format file and with the same software if it's with parameters but can you have access to it ?Do you want to make a local thickening or local and on what type of solids ?Let us know better your type of 3D work.
