I would look into the use of XREFS.  There is plenty of information to be found on the subject.  Here is a link to one such source...https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/getting-started/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/AutoCAD-Core/files/GUID-A987D2FF-45BD-474E-99C1-E6316A42F667-htm.htmlThis link is to a tutorial...http://www.2learncad.com/tutorials/xref.htmlAnd so is this one...http://www.mycadsite.com/tutorials/level_4/4-7.htmIf you search on "autocad"+"xref"+"tutorial" you should even be able to find video tutorials on the subject.  What more could you possibly want or need?

You can probably find practice files online at the AutoDesk website.  Look for sample drawing files.Re: coordinations.  Do you mean coordinates?

I suppose it would depend on whether you are working with someone outside of your company or if the work is all internal.
