Hey guys we imported an autocad 2011 3d model with multiple 3D solids into inventor to create an assembly. Since we dont have the layer/color map conversion set up, everything looks the same color/material.Is there a method or way to 'batch' select each part file and change material/color all at once, while still in said asy file?Or are we stuck changing each one, individually? Thanks!!
AnYbOdY??? c'mon guys! if this cant be done, lemme know!

Not 100% sure this is what you're looking for but it did seem similar. Look at the responses by Rocky Zhang (Inventor API - AutoDesk).http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor-Customization/change-material-in-assy/m-p/2694548

I assume that you are changing the items to a material that is in your styles library. If so then you should just be able to use the Bill of Materials feature in the Assembly.[Select BillofMaterialsIf Material is not a column add it through Runtime Column Customization Right click column headers and select Runtime Column CustomizationScroll down to Material and click+drag the header into place]You should then be able to do a mass change by either copy+paste or dragging the correct one. Then again, this could be what you mean by each one individually.

I am not entirely sure (I am away from my Inventor computer at the moment) but can you not select the files in the directory outside of inventor & change the iProperties. I seem to remember doing this some time ago on a similar problem. The point being that by using the shift (or is it the control) key you can randomly select any files as a batch
