I have a drawing with 3 different scale vports (3/32", 1/4", 1:1). The width of my text was fine until I inserted a 1:1 keyplan into model space. (I need to freeze/thaw different areas so it had to be in model for the different tabs/sheets).
Here's the problem. I lost the width on all my mtext! Instead of the 14' +/- width it had in model space it is all now 4"!!! Even worse, upon fixing it, as soon as I close and reopen the drawing it is back to the 4" width!  The text is annotative in the dwg.
Anyone seen this before...and have a clue how to corect?

Thanks in advance!!!

You inserted the key plan.  Does this mean it was done as a separate drawing?

I run AutoCAD LT 2010.  So far I have determined it is because all the mtext was set for dynamic columns (I didn't create the drawing). Bottom line is I need to replace all the mtext with no columns.  Biggest question now is why did it all change to such a narrow width? It was fine then I inserted a block (scaled 1:1) into model space and then the troubles started.  If it's as simple as the no columns...great! Just would like to avoid this in the future.

It may have changed to narrow width because the person who did the drawing used the "Fit" option?
