I got a degree in Architecture in 1978 from the Philippines, been working in the A&E since 1974 up to 1998 with manual production of DWGs. A little bit introduction into CAD later up to 2001 in the USA, then I stopped being employed in the field of Architecture. After almost 8 years, totally lost info about CAD, I decided to go back to my field in Architecture but because I don't have a strong foundation in CAD, I don't know where and how to start and acquire a good knowledge in CAD and be updated to its present technology, so that I can be employed again. Please help.

Not sure which version you are getting into, but I have 2009 and in college 1st and 2nd year we used this text book..
 http://www.amazon.ca/AutoCAD-2009-Problem-Solving-Approach/dp/143540257X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1234397190&sr=8-1

Its an easy read not bad price, and I've used it many times since that course.
