I am an HVAC designer with over 35 years of experience but have very rudimentary ACAD skills. Recently got fired because of it. Achieving proficiency in 2D Autocad at age of 64 is going to be difficult but I am going to try. I request a set of drawings (stripped of all identifying information) for HVAC, Plumbing and fire protection for any commercial or institutional building. I shall be very grateful. 

Normally people come here looking for blocks or help with actual AutoCAD problems.  Not very often you see someone asking for a full set of drawings of any kind.  I think your chances of getting what you want are going to be slim.  Did you check the CAD Blocks section?  Once in a while someone will upload an entire drawing.  Maybe you'll have some luck there.You want to improve your skills then look for tutorials.  There are both static and video tutorials at CADTutor.http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/Since that site is much more active than this one I think you'll also have a better chance of scoring some HVAC drawings.Another good site for tutorials is....http://www.we-r-here.com/cad/The site has tutorials for several different versions of AutoCAD.One more website for you...Andy's Best.  2006 HVAC drawing samples but they happen to be available only in one of three formats: jpg, pdf and dwf not dwg or dxf.http://www.andysbestcad.com/hvac.htm

Thank you for the response. I have found legend symbols or residential type drawings. I guess I will be happy with just architectural drawings so I can practice drawing and manipulating them using most of acad 2d commands. I have tried tutorials and passed them but didn't pass in field.

Well Andy's Best also has examples of architectural drawings but in the sma efile types as previously mentioned.  Not sure if they will be what you are looking for.  You'll just have to keep searching.

Thanks.  I'm a bit of a rebel.If you join CADTutor at some point ask around for my twin brother.  He's a regular there.  Goes by the name of ReMark.  We're both fans of the Terminator movies.Now that I think about it my brother might have access to HVAC as well as architectural drawings through work.  Ask him.  I'm sure he would take a look for you.
