the company i work for has attempted to set up cadd standards for civil 3d and as a result, when we start a new drawing from their template we get 485 layers which we cannot purge. then as you go along and do design civil 3d continues to add its own default layers, if you make an xref from a dwg which used a template you suddenly got another 485 layers to deal with, how do we get thru to them how ridiculous this is believe it or not they dont seem to understand?
