Does anyone know of any simple to use software on the market that would allow me to design projects like decks, playgrounds etc, just by using common lumber materials such as 4x4x8, 2x6x10, 2x8x12, etc...
 
Basically, I want to be able to select my lumber peice and drag it onto the workarea, rotate, etc to draw/design my final product.
 
Then because I used common board sizes, it could print out a shopping list for me???
 
I know that Home Depot has one on their website but it is pretty crappy.
 
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

It's a lot of Free CAD software, and you end to try it and then make final decision opinion. Every user can have different opinion to same software.

I would love to be able to find one to try. But doing a google search just shows  big cad programs like autocad.
 
Can you suggest a couple of software titles for me?
