If you are reading this in a web browser as compared to RSS, you can see that It's Alive in the Lab has a new banner. My old banner featured large black letters on a multicolored background that looked like: Then I used this Autodesk University (AU) corporate image: to create a new one in conjunction with the Artifakt Element font (Autodesk's official corporate font): As part of work that I am doing in relation to Corporate Strategy, Technology Lead for Employee Communications, Carl Reeverts, created a banner image to promote an article on our internal employee information site: I liked what Carl had done, so I asked him for a copy of his backdrop image. I then replaced the AU corporate background with Carl's to get: Unsure which was better, gray or orange, I enlisted the help of my Facebook friends who voted: Some (15%) thought that the gray looked calming, professional, and was easier to read, but more (85%) preferred the orange that was fun and exciting. As Product and Program Management Leader, Eric Stover, mentioned in a Facebook comment, "orange is indeed the new black." Unfurling is alive in the lab. Go to the original post...
