Hi guys, wonder if anyone has solution to this:I'm trying to create few new families for trusses and simple frames. The difficulty I have is to set section type so that I can change the section type within project simply by picking built-in sections (standard steel sections with all properties) without having to fill in all properties manually. Something like the section type when you choose the truss family as your template.Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.Thank you

Hello Kajito, do you just want "steel profiles library" or a complete section in wich you can update the drawing with a click ?
If it's "just" for steel profiles I have all the euro profiles that we draw since 1995 ( AutoCAD R13 ) like :
HEA , HEB , HEM , UPE , UPN , IPE , IPE-RENF , IPN , ANGLES , TE , etc...
Eventually this is available in AutoCAD Mechanical with the command AMSTLSHAP2D.
I'm bulding a complete AutoCAD file with all the AutoCAD Mechanical profiles in all the sizes for the people that we have without the Mechanical part of AutoCAD.
Eventually you can switch to parametric 2D drawing also.
