Greetings. I am working with AutoCAD for the first time. All of the training that I have comes from trial and error and online tutorials. We are using cad for the sole purpose of applying the floor we manufacture to existing .dwg files in only 2D.A little about the process we're using:Our floor consists of three main pieces that are repeated throughout the entire floor area. These were combined as blocks in varying sizes (5 pieces by 5 pieces, 1 piece by one piece, etc) so they can be inserted into the drawing in a much more expedient fashion than inserting each item piece by piece. The five issues that I'm having and could use some guidance on are as follows:
1. What is the best way to convert PDFs to DWGs with a 100% success rate?
2. How do we reconcile the scale of the DWG file to that of the Blocks in our Library?
3. How do we get the Linear Dimension tool to display distances in inches?
4. How do we use AutoCAD to generate a piece count of our floor components?
5. How do we reconcile the printer settings to print out the selected portion of our drawing and ensure that it only prints as black lines on white background?I apologize if any of these are excessively easy to solve, but again, I was afforded no actual instruction and any help would be tremendously appreciated.Thank youjasonFAU2008-02-18 21:35:27
