Display full version of the post: OBJECTS MOVE SLOW...
hi all! here's the skinny. i do space layout for a furniture company. Anyhow, i'm using Giza to import the furniture symbols into cad. every time i move the furniture around, it lags. the furniture keeps populating before i get to my desired place. takes forever just to move from one snap point to the other. does anyone know how to resolve this???? Please help. Thanks in advance! =)

Not even sure what Giza is or why you would have to import a symbol (2D right?) into a drawing when blocks are usually inserted. Could you elaborate? Are these symbols raster images as opposed to vector graphics?OK...just read a brief synopsis of 2020 Giza software (office furniture). The write says users are not required to have AutoCAD so it appears this is a stand-alone program and not an AutoCAD add-on which begs the question why aren't you just using the 2020 Giza software to create your design?

hi john. thanks for chiming in. Giza is very limited to what i can and can't do. it takes me longer to create a building shell/or room etc. since i usually get building layouts in cad file i don't need to recreate the shell in giza. giza sucks in that regards =p so that will take too long. since i'm taking some of these furniture symbols to cad it is easier and saves time. it seems to be only when i take these symbols from giza that the lag occurs. if i'm moving things normally there is no lag. when i move these objects/furniture symbols, it feels like snapmode is on. but its not lol. So i don't know what it is. not sure if it's giza symbol is the problem itself. =(

Without a sample symbol to test I couldn't say. Sorry. These are 2D symbols right? If they were actually 3D but you are looking at a top down view of them you might not be able to tell right away.
