I am using autocad 2009 mep, when trying to open a new drawing or an old drawing I click on the icon, but instead of a box appearing which enables my to select a file, the command line askes me to enter the name of the drawing to open as I have many drawing on a network this is a problem. After a few years of use this has only just happened, any ideas as to solve this problem?

Change the system variable FILEDIA from "0" to "1" and see if that fixes the problem.
