If I have many sheets in paper space already and I want to create a new layout, is there a way to to make the sheets auto-correct the sheet number sequence of each sheet without having to change each sheet number by hand?  ex:  1,2,3,4,5  Lets say I wanted to insert a new sheet in between 2 & 3.  All I want all is to have the sheets after to update automatically without me having to change them physically. Is that possible?Brian

SSMRenumber allows the user to renumber all of the sheets, or another selected sheet property, within a Sheet Set.Unfortunately this is found only in a program written by Quux called SincpacC3D.

Is your sheet number part of your layout template?  In other words, is it an attribute in the template?  If it is you can make it's value equal to the system field ctab.  Then you can name the Layout with your sheet number.  CTAB will automatically put it on the sheet.  From there you'd only have to revise the Layout tab names.  You would however have to update all of the layouts as well.  But in the future it might be nice to simply have the template already set up to use the CTAB value for the sheet number.  Nice = handy in cases like yours.Otherwise you'll need to go the sheet set manager route which will give you lots of control but might be a bit complex given where you are.Dave.

If you want to change scales on viewports across multiple Layout tabs you will probably need a fairly complicated LISP routine.  Someone here may know of a source for something like that... but I don't.  At the least, it isn't something you can do with any existing commands within AutoCAD.Dave.
