I have finished my CAD drawings, but when I go to plot to .pdf, the file that comes out has most of my drawing cut off. I have worked it out so that 1:100 will fit onto an A2 sized sheet, and it does fit when I use these settings, but half of the drawing gets cut off.Does anyone have an idea why this is happening, or a way to fix it? I am still learning AutoCAD so chances are pretty high that I am doing something wrong. I am using AutoCAD 2009

Choose proper page size, set plot area and print scale. Then form AutoCAD plot window you will see the accurate representation of the effective plot area relative to the paper size and printable area. Preview, if the plot looks like you want it to, then select 'OK' button to plot.

I set the plot area to extents. Is that the right thing to do? I've tried all four different options and it still goes off the page. Also, I just tried setting it to "window", and it cuts off the right side of my plan. Extents pushes it down and cuts off the bottom half, and on limits, nothing shows up

Set plot offset to "Center the plot" and see if this helps. You can also find from the reprensation, if there is redline appears then the printout will be cut off at the redline.
