Hello everyone! I created a .stl mesh using meshlab from a data file I am working on. I am trying to convert the mesh into a printable 3D object, however I think I am running into problem on AutoCAD 2015 because the mesh is infinitely thin and has no volume to print. Using Autocad I have converted the mesh into a surface using convotosurface and now am trying to add some sort of volume. I have tried to use the thicken command and the convtosolid command however the program keeps crashing, probably because the amount of data is so large. I also am running into problems I believe because my object is a hollow tube, so I believe the program don't know where to add volume or in what direction. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Have you tried using AutoDesk Fusion 360?What is the file size of the drawing when you just have a surface? What are your computer specs? This must be some convoluted hollow tube.  Couldn't possibly be straight if you having this much of a problem.  Are there holes in the walls of the tube?  Protrusions?
