Display full version of the post: Point import LT07
I am using Acad LT07 for my survey data. Not and ideal situation but its what I've got for now. Is there a way that I can import the data from my survey without loosing the elevation data. Coordinates transfer in fine but the elev., point number, and descriptions dont. Any sugestions?

You could use Scripts generated from Excel to insert POINTs or block INSERTs. See:

You say you can transfer in your coordinates fine. What program are you using to prepare the data prior to import? Are you bringing your data in as a DXF import? DXF files can be prepared to include all the attribute data you want, but it may require work in your collection export software.Dave.
I am using Topcon software call Topcon Link to transfer the information to a DWG file. Maybe the problem lies there. However I can look at the information as a TXT file or ASCII and all the information is there point numbers, description, coordinates and elevation. I know that I can create a script with excel but I am talking a large number of points was looking for an "easier" way if there is such a thing.
Thanks in advance.

All the export settings should be handled by the Topcon software. So if everything you want is showing up in ASCII format then it's there... you just need to get it into AutoCAD now.
Summary: It's time to RTFM... as in "fricking"...
