Display full version of the post: Print view not showing up

Hi all. I have done a drawing when i go to print from layout tab nothing shows up, please help.
when i was drawing it before when i was checking how it would print out i was able to view, but now i an ready to print nothing is showing up.
 
when i saved the drawing it also said drawing file is write protected, i wonder if this has anything to do with it

Yeah, it probably means you didn't save it unless you did a "save as" and used a different file name.

A new problem Jhon, i am drawing house plans all is well but when i try to enter text in model space it appears very small, but if i type it in layout tab it is ok.  Could you please put me in the right direction has to what may be wrong.

There is nothing wrong.I assume you are drawing full size in model space.  That could explain why your text looks small by comparison.  You have two choices assuming you want the text to remain in model space.  1) Scale the text or 2) Use annotative scaling.  The annotative scaling option is really meant to be used if your title block and border will be going in a paper space layout and you would be using a viewport, in the layout, to see your model space objects (text included).There is another option but it has to do with a paper space layout.  All your geometry will go in model space BUT you place your text and dimensions in your paper space layout (remember you'll have to use a viewport to see what is back in model space).  If you use this method you'll have to make sure your dimensions are "associative" (not the same as annotative).  Your text and dimensions will be to real world height.

hey, use double click mouse scroll on layout and some time it happen, by default some time object is drawn in difference of large space of two object(main and another) then use of double click all thing come on screen, use this that can help you.purti

KC: Once again I will suggest you ignore what purti has written as it does not apply to your situation.  Go to your other thread regarding this topic.See how this (multiple threads) is starting to get more confusing?
