I am wondering if there is a solution to my problem. I work for a company that requires that on full scale views i need to have a line weight of 40 to make sure the details are outlined. So in my drawing i have a layer for Obect that has that line weight. It looks fine when i print full scale but when my view ports that are less than that the lines all blend and i have no detail of the parts. is there a way of scaling my line weights so in full view they are 40 but in 1/4 scale they are lighter?Hope this makes sense.

You can't just use a different .pc3 file?

The company has made a PC3 file which we are all to use and can not modify, I was thinking if i just use the plot option plot object line weight. I would have to assign lines weights to the lines and not use the Plot with Plot Style. I would have to modify each page inwhich i do not want to use the plot style. I was looking for an easier more universal way. Do you agree?

That sounds like more work rather than less work.I have a pc3 file called MyFineLine where are the lineweights are set to be much thinner so when I take a 24x36 drawing and print it on an 11x17 sheet of paper it is still readable.Have you discussed the problem with your supervisor?

Do you have the Scale Lineweights box checked in the Plot dialog?Dave.
