Hi everyone,

I use AutoCAD 2007 and have not been able to use or find the command "Quick Group". I found this a very useful tool in previous versions and want to know if it is hidden somewhere in 2007 or has been discontinued for some reason. I do not want to always create a named block, sometimes i just want to group things together temporarily. Any suggestions??

You are probably referring to the PKFSTGROUP command available in AutoCAD LT. In the full AutoCAD version there is only a more detailed version of this command - GROUP.
You can use its commandline version: -GROUP to prepare a menu macro with the required functionality.

I use this command alot but I have yet to see an icon/toolbar command for it in ACADM 2009.  I am not sure how to do this.  Is there a tutorial to show how to do this?

You can use our GRP utility to get "quick" group commands in ACAD/ACADM. See the tip 6287.

I am a bit new to using LISP commands and was wondering if there is an automated way to set it up to load everytime I open a file?
