how to create a 3d text protruding on the solid surface?( in inventor 9)

Hey, forget about emboss and engrave.
They eat up memory and affect rendering.
what you should do is select the surface with a sketch. type the text and move it where you want it in the 2D sketch enviroment. then hit update/exit sketch and then extrude the text from the sketch same as a shape.
Easy as that!
But curved surfaces, thats a lil' trickier, lol
