i got an exam tommorow and still dont really understand how to calculate scalesmany classmates are having trouble understanding iti was wondering is any one could helpi can do the calculation but dont under stand itone i remeber is for text hieght like leroy 80 is like 80/1000=.08x25.4/1000 x the scale (1:75) =.1524like what did i just do dont understand it lol

In this case your problem is Converting inch vs mm .
 
You have a different system from our in EU etc
Problem is Scaling or Converting.
 
I am trying to give some sample.
1) 1:10 does mean 1 units in drawing = 10 units in real so and text multiplay with 10.
2) 1inch=25.4 mm so you multiplay units in inch with 25.4
