Hello everyone, i am new to this site.


i have a problem that i hope that you can be of assistance.
ill start at the start.
i am currently creating the sewer network for a particular area in the uk which includes for nodes and sewer lines. i compiled the layout which has around 2280 nodes on a DOS based program. From this i exported around 28 dxf files to cover the area with overlaps.
the DOS based program does not export things nicely so i ve been cleaning up the drawings for about a week now, basically moving things around.
Now here for the problem: the nodes (circles) tranferred over shouldve been solid hatched but are not. When i try to hatch them i can only visually complete half of them as the rest are duplicated nodes on top of each other. (as i explained before i have to export the dxfs with overlaps so that i cover the entire area).
i cant go back to the start as i have spent a week on it.
the only thing im doing at the mo is creating a node hatched block and placing them over the original node but is taking time as i have to the paste as block command and then move command.
it would be a lot quicker if i could use the paste block command with the node block centre snapping on top of the original node centre. Is this possible?

What OSnaps have you got enabled?  Which version of AutoCAD are you using?

i have this sorted now after a long laborious time. using centre osnap i pasted the new node hatch block onto the centre of the original non hatched nodes (this did not place cnetre on centre but for each node was in a relative place that i could do a mass move). then after 2280 point and clicks later, i selected all the new blocks and using the move command i snapped the centre of the new node onto the old. i know this took several hours, but it was the only way i could think of.
 
i am new to auotcad. the version im using is lt2005.
 
problem numero deux that i am now having to solve. i have a very large grid broken down into 100m grid squares. i want to add text (the easting and northings) to each of the lines making up the grid. is there a way of easily doing this?
 
the only way i can think off is creating a text number then offsetting it by 100m and then changing each text individually to reflect the easting and northing.
