Hello All, I would like to ask you about stress analysis for tube.Im new in INVENTOR and I think that its probably simple, but can you explain me "how to" perform stress analysis for tube when I want to know maximum force/pressure before deformation of the tube?Reality is, that I have tubes on the stock stored one on one. Diameter of the tube is 1000mm and thickness 12,5mm.And I want to know how many lewels of the tubes (one on one) im able to store without deformation of the tube at the bottom.I tried to do it, but tube was always bended, not deformed.I welcome all ideas.Thank you (Excuse my english)

I actually don't think it's that simple..I would expect the deformation to weaken the structure.. how to explain this??....if you apply a line load to a circular tube, it becomes oval..and due to this, the shape looses stability, and will thus deform even more. You will need to do a non-linear static stress analysis, which is not possible with Inventor Stress analysis moduleRgds. Jesper
