Hello everyone! I'm hoping someone can help me I am currently using AutoCad 2009 and I do consulting work for a firm that uses 2007. The problem I am having is when I use the text command it comes up completely different on my computer than theirs. The text will not align, etc. I have even taken their text copied and pasted to use for my drawings. I downloaded today an update for 2009 I thought that would take care of it but it didn't. Thank you

Use the full "Reply" button (not just the "Quick Reply" window), or link to a image hosting web service.

For the text problem - please make sure you are using the same font on both computers. The text editor appearance may depend on system variables and other settings but the drawing text itself should look the same on all AutoCAD stations. If not, the main reason is usually in the fonts.

Thank you.  The text is the same on both my computer and the firm I work with.  I have even tried copying the exact text from their original drawings.  If I take text from a drawing and mirror it on my drawing it looks perfectly aligned etc. when they recieve it on their end it is shown as mirrored with the text into the drawing and not aligned.

Text mirroring depends on the MIRRTEXT variable. But it can be more complicated if you deal with blocks - see:

I'm not dealing with blocks.  I'm drawing interior elevations based on the firms architectural drawings and I work right in their dwg file.  When I label the moulding, wall details, etc. the labels I use are what is changing from my computer screen to theirs.  The alignment is all off and the leader arrows will sometimes run into the words.  Nobody at their office has been able to figure this out either, it is very strange.  I have tried all sorts of different text troubleshooting it doesn't seem to help

It looks like the font (text style) you are using is not available on the other computer(s) and AutoCAD picks a replacement font which does not look the same.
(sorry I didn't understand the 'mirror' notice)
