Hey everybody!

Do I need to have autocad express tools loaded for this to function?? Or did some autodesk fool remove it in 2011?...or maybe rename it?

Yes, you do. TXT2MTXT is an express tools command.

Look on the Ribbon > Express Tools Tab > Text Panel.  Click on "Convert to MText".  It's there in the 2012 version so I suspect it is also there in the 2011 version as well unless you passed over the opportunity to load Express Tools during the install process (which can be remedied).

yeah dude, no express tools. We hardly use Acad so I imagine most people here have no idea what it is, LOL.

Is there a way to install without re-installing everything?

Sure is.  Start by popping your install DVD in and take it from there.  It is a separate option.
