Hi, I was wondering if there is a simple way to do the following: There is an AutoCAD 2007 installation on a server -- 3 users accessing it.Here's the objective: We would like to have all CAD files stored in two separate folders on the server. One for files in progress, and one for master files; Setup an e-mail alert to the design manager to clear files from a queue and post them to master files.Any non-master files to have a watermark ("not for production use") when printed or viewed Is something like that possible? if not, what is the simplest solution for multi-user version control? Thank you for your time.

Look e.g. at the options of Autodesk Vault and Xanadu iProject.

they both look very interesting, thank you. is the "vault" free with autocad 2009? Also, do you know what is the minimum amount of users needed for AutoCAD 2009 to be installed on a Server, and have the users access it over the Local Network? They have bought three seats of AutoCAD 2009 right now and they are told that they need to purchase an additional two in order to enable the network functionality, is that so? We need to move to a server/client setup, but being forced to buy an extra two seats we don't need doesn't sound right.edit:I see that you are involved with iproject, which seems to cover what I want to do, can you please send me a PM so I can call you and discuss? Thanks
