how do i use them in dimensioning?

This symbol < ' > means feet while this symbol < " > mean inches in imperial / architectural units.  So, if I wanted to indicate 10 feet 6 inches I would write it as 10'-6".  Got it?If you are dimensioning using architectural (feet and inches) then AutoCAD will automatically insert the symbols for you.John Connor2011-06-14 12:02:45
