Hi all
Need some guidance please.
I'm in the process of designing a new kind of wheelbarrow and I need to get my design drawn up.
The design itself is relatively simple and is made primarily from 1" hollow box section steel / aluminium.
However, I haven't used CAD for years and am unsure what's the most suitable package to go for.
Don't really want to spend a fortune on a Pro package so hope you kind folk could advise me.
At the end of the day, I'd need to be able to create a fully dimensioned engineering drawing (with BOM) for the manufacturer.

Any help would be appreciated

No 3D?  Then you could use AutoCAD LT and save yourself some money in the process.  It sells for about 25% of what the full version sells for.

you could as well take a look at ProgeCAD, new is about €200 .. haven't used it much (used trial becasue it's pdf to dwg tool) but "feels" the same as autocad

There are a couple of "freebie" 2D CAD programs available as well.  Always an option for those with "no" budget.
