I want to know that if a DWG has related 6 sheets mean 6 different DWGS and one change will all the othe 6 related DWGS.Is this Possible?shaikh2010-10-10 10:21:09

if you change the xrefs the changes will appear on the viewports on your 6sheets.i take it by 6sheets you mean you have 6layout tabs

IF YOU WANT TO SHOW SOME OF THE LAYOUTS WITH THE CHANGES AND SOME WITHOUT THE CHANGES YOU MADE IN THE XREFS (ASSUMING YOU ME 6 LAYOUTS OR 6 DIFFERENT DRAWING USING THE SAME XREF) THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO. MAKE THE CHANGES IN THE XREF BUT DO NOT DELETE ANY OF THE ORIGINAL STUFF. LETS SAY YOU WANT TO CHANGE A PIECE OF TEXT OR TAKE OUT PART OF A LINE 1. In the xref of model space make your changes, but in your paper space layout double click in the view port and turn off what you do not want to see in that layout, don't worry in all the other layouts or individual drawings those items will not be turned off. 2. Here is another way trim or copy the text or line place them exactly where they were before or whwerveer you want the create a layer now place the copied or new items on the newly created layer. Now attache your xref,  in your layout turn off the layers with the items you do not want to see in a praticular layout. There you go. Do the work once in the xref or model space and then fix your layouts as needed.Cadman112010-10-07 18:09:15
