Author: jimk75
Subject: 10658
Posted: 06.Sep.2014 at 00:42

Sorry to bother you folks. I hope you can help me find what I am looking for.
I need software that would generate say, a 3d square or, better yet, a rectangular parallelepiped from lines and infinite lines. I need to manipulate the number of lines easily from around 50 to many, a lot, incredibly huge number. I would like them all to start parallel and be able to be manipulated in any direction from a point on/in the object. I would like to take a point on the map and just pull it in any direction, however, I need control of the number of lines I want to move from a particular point so as to be able to leave a percentage untouched.

Example: (I need to give the following impression which I think can be done with much smaller numbers since any line with diameter smaller than a pixel could not be seen on that screen. Actually, the lengths I am talking about here are Planck Lengths. Very small. The diameter of a proton is more 10 followed by 19 zeros Planck Lengths. This is what I will be talking about and would love to give a visualization of this.

So,the basis: start with a rectangular parallelepiped (rectpped) of say 100X100 lines, grab 50 lines at a point, pull them a set distance from rest. Maybe pull more lines a different direction, zoom out by increasing the number of lines (continuously variable is what I really need), maybe to, say, 10^6X10^6, take a few 10^3 points and move them in different directions. Then zoom out to where the object is, say, 10^30X10^30... Actual numbers can be smaller but I will be talking about huge numbers. Can you help me?

Edited by jimk75 - 06.Sep.2014 at 02:22
