I suppose this has been coming for a long time, but I can see some stumbles on the way as the trades that need to interpret the drawings adjust to this format. Still waiting to see what the field copies are going to look like.
What do you think ?
We have always used AutoCad and were always able to communicate with the other trades, engineers and architects thru that medium.
Lately we have had requests to accept revit drawings. As of yet we have not had an opportunity to see if we can even read them, let alone work with them with our current software and knowledge base.
So i am seeking advise. Can AutoCad read the revit drawing format so we can do the required shop drawings, and will we need to upgrade and re-school for this new system sooner or later ?

Thanks in advance.
