There are plenty of P&ID block libraries available for purchase out there to choose from.  Start researching them; the sooner the better.

I work for a natural gas company and we are trying to do our own P&ID's in house and I am interested in finding a library software that would add the symbols to my menu bar and be in the pull downs for ease of use!
