    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=165260">John Connor</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 11343<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04.Sep.2015 at 11:32<br /><br />First, the OS being used has no bearing on the subject.<br><br>Second, you don't import the drawing from LT 2016 to full AutoCAD 2004.&nbsp; What you do is make sure to save the drawing in 2004 file format which is one of the standard options along with other file formats.&nbsp; The choices will be 2004 DWG and DXF.&nbsp; Select 2004 DWG.<br><br>If the two programs are on different computers copy the drawing to a flash drive then walk that flash drive on over to the other computer and copy it off the flash drive to the folder where you keep your drawing files.&nbsp; Start AutoCAD 2004 and open the drawing as you would any other and start editing it.&nbsp; Your custom lisp routines will work just fine on the drawing you originally started in LT 2016.<br><br>Third, when the time comes that you want to bring the drawing back into LT reverse the process (re: flash drive).&nbsp; LT 2016 will have no problem opening the drawing that you just edited, and saved, in 2004 file format.<br><br>The one thing you should NOT do, while using LT, is save the drawing in a file format other than 2004.<br><br>Is my explanation clear enough for you?<br><br>By the way, you have hijacked a thread started by another forum member to post an unrelated question.&nbsp; That is considered bad form.&nbsp; You should have either continued the conversation in your other thread or started a new thread.<br><br>Addendum:<br><br>I assumed you would know how to set AutoCAD to save in a particular file format.&nbsp; In case you need a refresher course I offer the following.<br><br>Invoke the OPTIONS command and click on the Open and Save file tab.<br><br>Look at the top left hand side.&nbsp; See where it says File Save &gt; Save As?&nbsp; Click where it says AutoCAD 2016/LT2016 (*.dwg) and scroll down to where it says AutoCAD 2004/LT2004(*.dwg) and click on that option.&nbsp; Finally, click on the OK button in the lower right hand corner and you are good to go.&nbsp; Got it?<br><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by John Connor - 04.Sep.2015 at 11:51</span>]]>
