Author: 1KittyKat
Subject: 11858
Posted: 17.Jun.2016 at 06:46

I am looking for good on-line tutorials or other info for an AutoCAD newbie (I have had actual classroom courses in ACAD2012 and 2016 but it was more for career development so I did not get a chance to use the systems and learn it well, and for me its repetition, practice and hands-on where I learn best) - Currently I am enrolled in on-line courses that need better tutorials for me...My background is GIS so I am used to layers, dimensioning and other similarities of common type commands and such. I was an end user creating utility features, attribute data and maps. I did some software testing of newer upgrades but am not an IT type of person. I have been able to pick up the ACAD to some degree but am in need of some good complementary go-to type of resources to help me get over the wall. When I last worked in GIS (apprx 5 yrs ago) they were still working on having it connect to the internet. Now that AcadCAD 2016 does this with ease, its kinda overwelming - just keeping track of where/how to manage files (I am on a stand alone PC - no server) seems to take a whole new level of understanding nearly equal to the knowledge of your chosen technical field! Anyway, if anyone has suggestions on how I can move
forward faster it would be appreciated. This software(s) is great and I am excited to learn and look forward to some expert advice! I have also looked into the " AutoCAD Certified Professional". Any opinions on that ?

Thanks everyone...KittyKat
